El Javea Town Hall has unanimously approved, in an extraordinary plenary session, the creation of the Municipal Sports Council and the approval of the Regulations that will govern this new body with which it is intended to work together with all sports clubs.
From the Popular Party, its spokesperson, Rosa Cardona, has appreciated that the number of members participating in the Consell has been improved and increased and that the involvement of the technical service has also been taken into account. For his part, the sports councilor has indicated that working groups will be held to provide greater coverage and thus channel all the voices involved in the local sports world and make them participate in the planning and promotion of sport and physical activity.
This forum will bring together the different visions, expectations, desires, aspirations related to sport, as well as the different opinions that may arise from the projects proposed by the council.
Among the functions included in the bases of the Consell are the basic ones that are its representative character and its advisory function, and also to favor that the sports policy of the City Council is adapted to the interests of the citizens, to stimulate participation with debates and including their involvement in the development of strategic plans or lines of municipal action from the sports facilities themselves
like the programs that are developed there.
