The Rotary Club of Jávea gathered a total of 191 euros in the V edition of the March against the Polio de Xàbia, organized this past Sunday. From the club we want to thank all those attending this solidarity march that departed from the Duanes seafront and arrived at the Arenal.
Once there, one of the members of the Rotary club of Javea offered some information about the presence of this disease that fundamentally affects the bones and is reappearing after having been eradicated.
The president of Rotary Jávea, Ana Cruz Gómez, wanted to especially thank the presence of club members from other locations such as Dénia, Benissa or Altea who wanted to join this solidarity event. As well as the Councilor for Security of Javea Town Hall, Pepa Gisbert and the companies that collaborated in the organization like Hospital Clínica Benidorm.
Gomez remarked that the amount collected will be contributed to Rotary International and stressed that "It will be the grain of sand of all Xàbia to fight against that disease."
