El Javea Town Hall, as part of measures to support citizenship due to the economic and social crisis stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, it has extended the deadlines for the voluntary payment of taxes such as the IBI and rates such as garbage, vehicles or fords.
The decree signed by the mayor, José Chulvi, highlights the need to offer longer terms, which allow taxpayers to plan their payments throughout the year, facilitating this fiscal obligation in the current situation of health, social and economic crisis.
The proposal of the Department of Finance was agreed and debated yesterday at the board of spokespersons and is part of the actions included in the comprehensive plan for economic and social revival.
The new deadlines are:
- Vehicle tax, solid waste management fee and ford fee: Initially the maximum deadline was April 21. Now you can pay until July 31
- Real Estate Tax (IBI) and Economic Activities Tax (IAE):
whose initial term was from August 6 to October 20. Now it will be from August 6 to December 3.
As the responsible councilor explains, Ximo Segarra, all taxpayers who have pending payments for fords, garbage or vehicles, must request a new payment letter from the Economic Area. For the moment, and while the offices are reopening to in-person care, they can do so by phone (965790500) or by email at email@example.com
Regarding IBI and IAE, the City Council will directly issue receipts with the new maximum date extended and no management is necessary.
