Xàbia agrees to provide more facilities for the payment of water bills

The municipal water company, Amjasa, today approved, in its board of directors, the formulas to support its subscribers in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to the extraordinary aid plan already announced, with
discounts on service, water and sewerage quotas for vulnerable families and groups (unemployed, affected by an ERTE or Cessation of Activity or with reduced working hours for care reasons) for which they have reserved 1 million euros, It has also planned a general aid that will be applied to all subscribers regardless of their financial situation: a moratorium until December 31 on the voluntary deadline for paying bills in March-April and May-June.

Amjasa has paralyzed its billing since the State of Alarm was declared and to avoid the accumulation of bills for consumption when it arises, it proposes the postponement of receipts adapted to the needs of each subscriber. Specifically, the receipts corresponding to the months of April, May and June will be allowed at any time until the end of the year. Or prorate the debt over the next 9 bi-monthly installments.

In addition, in the case of all receipts issued in the months of the Alarm State, that is, in the months of March, April, May and June, Amjasa will extend the voluntary payment period until 30/12/2020, so that provided that these receipts are paid in said period, they will not generate default interest.

Similarly, those who prefer to maintain the regular rhythm of payments even during the state of alarm, can request the company to bill them.

As regards extraordinary aid (reductions in installments) they will be processed through the social services and they will be regulated with the same requirements of the other municipal aids. They may be requested within 10 days from their publication in the Official Gazette of the Province and in the case of families and vulnerable groups that have recognized such a situation and are beneficiaries of social assistance from the Town hall de
