On March 27th, starting at 16:30 p.m., the first comprehensive care day for children will be held, organized by the Social Pediatrics Group of the Valencian Society of Pediatrics, with the collaboration of Javea Town HallThe event will take place at the Duanes Library in Xàbia.
The event, which aims to promote the importance of multidisciplinary care for children, will feature Dr. María Luisa Lucas, a pediatrician at the Duanes Health Center and event organizer. Dr. Lucas emphasizes that children grow up in a social environment that directly influences their health, and it is essential that professionals from different fields, such as pediatricians, school counselors, and social workers, work together to address children's physical, mental, and social well-being.
"Health is not just the absence of disease, as defined by the World Health Organization in 1948. We must approach health from a biopsychosocial perspective, taking into account all the factors that affect children and their environment," says Dr. Lucas.
The objective of the event is to create connections between professionals who work with children and promote closer collaboration to improve comprehensive care for minors.
