El Department of Culture de Xàbia recovers the workshops aimed at people over 18 years of age. The subjects to choose from are photography –basic and advanced level-, furniture restoration, wine tasting and culture -basic and advanced level-,
personal development and literary creation.
The pre-registration period is already active and will be open until October 11 at the following link.
Classes, one a week, will begin at the end of October and will last until May in venues such as the House of Culture, Ca Lambert, or the facilities of the Permanent Adult Education (EPA).
The price of the workshops, which ranges between 96 and 128 euros, can be paid in two installments or in a single payment at the Town hall when attendance at the workshop has been confirmed.
They are workshops organized by the Department of Culture, therefore, by the City Council and must be free, or at least subsidized.This DOES NOT HELP Culture, and much less to those interested, and many who like me, that although we are unemployed, we have concerns. Less spending on pyrotechnics ..., parties and more for the Cutura.
I think a 1:30 h workshop for € 96 of photography is tremendously expensive. When it does not put any references of the teacher and no information on the syllabus. These workshops should be free, subsidized for example. That they remove some bous to the sea or confinement and that they offer these activities to the rest of the people of the town for free
In my understanding, we should already start a Popular University, with the support and concerns of associations, housewives, retirees, etc., to unify a program of educational workshops for all citizens.
