After three editions held (2016, 2017 and 2018) and a hiatus, Xàbia will once again celebrate, in 2021, the 4th edition of the Crime Novel Festival. And he does it in a big way, with leading authors of the Spanish noir genre. Víctor del Árbol, Rosa Ribas, Aro Sáinz de la Maza, Fernando Marías, Rosa Masip, Marta Barrio, Silvestre Vilaplana and Joan Carles Ventura are the writers participating in this fourth edition.
For three days, on October 29, 30 and 31, the town of Xàbia will immerse itself in the black genre through numerous activities. The Festival, promoted by the Javea Town Hall and the Department of Culture, this year has the organization of Black Valencia (VLC Negra). In addition, different groups such as the Riu rau film school or the theater group, among others, are involved in this festival.

Encounters with authors
The authors of crime novels will star in a good part of the meetings. Marta Barrio and Aro Sáinz de la Maza will talk about human psychology in fiction on Friday October 29 at 19:XNUMX p.m., while Rosa Ribas and Víctor del Árbol will explore the role of family ties in the intrigues of their works, the Saturday 30 at 20 hours. La Criminala Award
One of the novelties of this new edition of Xàbia Negra is the creation of the award the Criminala, nickname with which Úrsula Tachó is known, a neighbor of Xàbia who murdered her stepson in 1920.
