The 'beachworking' returns to Xàbia with a bet on online channels

03 September 2020 - 15: 13

The Department of Economic Development of Xàbia and the Creama, through its technological ADL, present for this month of September the new season of training events of the so-called project 'Beachworking', which seeks to attract
digital talent and position the municipality as an ideal point to telework and enjoy the environment, something very current in these times of coronavirus.

After the experience lived at the end of last year, when all the programming was migrated to the online platforms achieving a great success of participation, it has opted to maintain this channel and thus facilitate that entrepreneurs, businessmen or workers can connect from their homes and with greater freedom of schedule with the high-quality and free training provided by the municipality.

The Councilor for Economic Development, Marta Bañuls, and the technician responsible for the project, Raúl Escrivá, have highlighted the great support that has been for the 'beachworking' project - in which Xàbia has been working for 3 years - integrating into the Digital District, the axis that deals with laying the foundations of technological transformation in the Mediterranean area.

Bañuls has advanced that for this quarter a proposal has been prepared "Fresh and innovative", doubling the digital activity, since it has found great acceptance among those who follow the technology community and at the same time it is a way that entrepreneurs or interested parties from other parts of the region can benefit from this training. Of course, events focused on networking (Pechakucha, Girls and Wine or the consolidated Beers and Bytes) will remain in face-to-face format, as long as circumstances allow.

The mayor has also added that ideas for the new Digital Lighthouse project are beginning to be assessed (which aims for the Sant Antoni Lighthouse to be a basic infrastructure for the development of a technological ecosystem and that it serves to facilitate the attraction of digital talent) since it will be a strategic infrastructure to position Xàbia as a capital and a place of reference in a technological world.

September schedule

The program starts the Thursday September 10 with the first XàbiaTIC conference 'I am a digital nomad and I live in Xàbia'; in charge of Alejandro Soto and Maribel Cots, who, after a lifetime of travel and experiences, have decided to land in Xàbia and created a company to continue their project from here.

El Day 15, within the Cycle of Commerce organized by Creama AFIC, there is scheduled a talk about Google Business and the Day 22 about Facebook Business.

In addition, on Fridays there will be the 'Coffee with the Technological ADL' in which the technician schedules interviews with entrepreneurs, businessmen or relevant people with an attractive history who can contribute their personal and professional experiences and experiences to the technological community.

There will also be news regarding the incorporation for the first time of the Digital District companies that are located in Alicante (although they are directed to the whole world) to tell us about their day-to-day life and what advice they can give to our 'beachworkers', so it will be highly beneficial to hear from these entrepreneurs.
