25 March 2019 - 11: 48

Arsènic is a rock group that was born in 2017 as a result of the union of the bands Immensus y Donant note. Formed by a total of 12 young people from Xàbia, Arsènic are eight onstage: Sergi Gisbert (Voice and Dulzaina), Javier Miragall (Guitar and Voice), Àlex Moragues (Guitar), Luis García (Trumpet), Héctor Mut (Trombone) , Pere Tent (Bass), Juan Vallés (Drums) and Joan Agulló (Latin Percussion), and four dealing with lights, merchandising and photography: Pau Salvador (lights), Javier Piles and Manel Guardiola (merchandising store) and Simón Buigues ( Photography).

This group sounds since the 4 of November of 2017, when it made its first concert in The Navy resounds. The desire to make music and enjoy it made them join and of course, keep on contributing, through the lyrics of their songs, a vision of the reality that is lived, "Our name, which refers to a poison, was chosen among other options because it is as it describes us. The group tries to act as a poison in the face of injustices and the system we suffer", explains this band to Xàbia.com and he adds that "Music is a form of expression that allows us to communicate what we feel and think and we would like to one day be able to convey these feelings to other people."

In fact, his first single Terra Cremada, translates the situation experienced by youth; young people who have to leave their home to go abroad to find work.

This first song is just the fruit of the great work they are doing. Arsènic hopes to present his first full album next June. At the moment, the video and lyrics of Terra Cremada runs on YouTube, where in just four days he has managed to obtain 4000 reproductions. "Our idea is that soon it will be in the rest of digital platforms", explains the rock group of Xàbia.

Performances

For these young people from Xàbia, who sing in Valencian, "because it is our language", combine their university studies with music in order to reach the maximum number of people with their music and enjoy as we do. "We usually rehearse once or twice a week, usually on weekends which is when we meet the maximum group members in Xàbia, since each one studies in a different place."

His concert schedule, since they began a year and a half ago, has not stopped: Fiestas de Xàbia, Fiestas de Xaló, Caparrarock de Benidoleig, the contest Ressona La Marina of Moraira, a charity concert to the Mistelera, "and our next date will be the 4 from May to Xalónia, with Oques Grasses, La Fúmiga and Frida".

From Xàbia.com we wish Arsènic that the release of their first album is a success and that they continue to demonstrate that you always have to fight and work for what you like.
