Xàbia celebrated the Nit dels Focs de Sant Joan. The magical and mysterious night that marks the beginning of summer brought together, as every year, thousands of people in the historic center of the town. Tradition drags participation and more and more people do not want to miss this festival declared of Tourist Interest by the Generalitat Valenciana.
As usual, the Cremà dels focs started with a parade and the distribution of toasted beans by the festival committee and the Quintàs of the 25th anniversary. Upon arrival at the Portal del Clot, where hundreds of people are waiting, the Cremà of the first bonfire begins by the Fogueres party officials.
With a crown of murta on their heads, as tradition marks, the participants began to jump the first bonfire to continue making the route and jump each one of them until they reached the Trastos Vells Bonfire organized by the El Gerrot rock where they threw the crown making a wish
At the end of this act, the night continued with the spectacular 'correfocs' through the streets of the historic center, making the end of the party in the Plaza de la Constitución.
