The Jávea Red Cross lifeguards rescued, this afternoon, a 19-year-old girl injured after falling from a height of 1,5 meters and hitting her head against a rock in a small cove in the surroundings of Caleta.
The warning has been about 15:45 pm and a rescue vehicle, ambulance and sand boat have been mobilized. The rescue team has accessed by land through the rocks until they reach the wound to assess its condition, since witnesses report loss of consciousness.
The young woman, who was already conscious, although injured, has been preventively immobilized and evacuated by sea due to the orographic complexity of the area. The boat has taken her to the Fontana dock where the ambulance was waiting to take her to the Marina Salud hospital.
This is the third accident in coves and cliffs areas attended by the rescue and first aid team of Red Cross Xàbia in the last five days.
