The Dutch Charitable Foundation dare to take care has sent the Javea Town Hall 10.000 protection masks as a contribution to the fight against COVID-19. Those responsible have a second residence in our municipality and have wanted to join the solidarity trend that has awakened in the population in the face of this serious health situation.
The masks will be distributed among the groups of essential professionals and also among the most vulnerable population. In fact, half have already been distributed among the 14 pharmacies in the municipality so that they can be collected free of charge by the elderly or people at risk.
They have also been handed over to the Fishermen's Guild, which since this week has returned to the sea to supply the municipality with fresh fish, the local Red Cross assembly and other entities involved in aid flows such as Caritas from the town and the port or Apasa. Mayor, José Chulvi, wants to publicly thank this great gesture of this Dutch couple.
