13 June 2022 - 19: 11

In the next few days the school year will end and with it, the work and projects carried out nine months ago. In the public school L'Arenal of Javea, the Educational Innovation Project started the previous year on education and environmental awareness, has continued this course thanks to the subsidy from the Ministry of Education and the economic contribution of the AMPA.

Under the slogan, 'A friendly school of the Earth', all the students of the school have worked on the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. Workshops, excursions, storytelling or talks have been some of the actions carried out by the teaching team in order to that the little ones know and transmit the importance of caring for the environment, "because the change to the future is human", indicate from the CP L'Arenal.

With this new annual project, the students of l'Arenal have learned about planting through the urban garden, teamwork, recycling and for the next course, the use of sustainable transport. In addition, they have sponsored a tree from which they have seen new birds hatch.

Without a doubt, a productive task and an unforgettable experience that has continued, as the culmination of the project, with a special week based on ocean pollution. Coordinated by the teachers, Amparo Romero and Raquel Barberá, the students have captured through art the need to take care of nature.

Proof of this is the mural, about 30 meters long, which has been developed in the center courtyard. With the collaboration of Larouche Ondara, the 5th and 6th grade primary school students have graffitied the importance of 'Caring for the Sea'.

On the other hand, the 3rd and 4th grade students have had the opportunity to delve into the ornithological world thanks to the biologist and bird expert, Pepa Prosper.

With regard to the little ones, the infant cycle and the first cycle have worked on recycling. Through the permanent workshop of the center for the elaboration of recycled paper, the boys and girls have made postcards and have learned about fishing.
