During the months of November and December 2019, students and teachers from four schools and a secondary school in Xàbia visited the exhibition Els veïns nostres Submarins. Bestiari contemporani of the Mediterranean of the CIRNE Foundation installed in the same foundation.
The sample, formed by a collection of photographs of marine beings of great beauty, little known of the underwater world, and texts describing the ecology of the species and some curious data, made a journey from the most remote species to Current fish, with simple language and poetic descriptions.
In this way, a total of 955 schoolchildren, from Graüll, María Inmaculada, Vicente Tena and Port de Xàbia as well as the IES number 1 they discovered the biology of the underwater world, specifically, the fauna and flora of the Mediterranean Sea in general and of Xàbia in particular.
The president of the foundation, Enric Martínez, has been very satisfied with the massive attendance of students "because our goal has been met". Also, Morera has transmitted to schoolchildren the importance of being aware of the preservation of the marine environment and points out that "Luckily, the little ones are already becoming aware and are aware that, for example, you should not throw plastic in the sea.
