The Water Resources Planning and Water Quality Service of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition has performed a statistical analysis whose conclusion leaves the Moraig Creek of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell in a very good place : the quality of its waters is "Excellent".
These conclusions have been acquired after an intensive study of four bathing seasons (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019) and a total of 59 sampling. Specifically, in the valuation of the data of the 2019 season, both the previous sampling, carried out in the second half of May, and the scheduled sampling performed from the June 1 to the September 15 have been taken into account.
The total sampling of this bathing season has been 14, which have been incorporated into the data series of the previous three seasons.
Of the four existing classifications (excellent, good, sufficient or insufficient), Cala Poblera has obtained the highest category, further enlarging its seal of excellence. "This study is to certify what we already knew: that Moraig, besides being beautiful, is a unique beach with outstanding qualities ”, said the Councilor for Tourism, Victor Bisquert.
