The mayor of El Poble Nou de Bentitatxell, Josep Femenía, who is at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), has heard the news that three councilors of Compromís have filed a motion of no confidence to remove from the position of mayor to Femenía. A motion that has had the guarantees of the independent councilors, Nieves García and Toni Colomer.
From the Compromís group, the minority government management of the current government has been described as "erratic and wrong that leaves no room for consensus with the other political forces" They consider the motion of censure as a tool that can be used in situations of misrule and institutional drift.
A situation that does not take anyone by surprise because in recent months have already seen divergent opinions and votes between these councilors and the current government team.
The municipal secretary completed the motion of censure negatively, that is, he did not accept it, arguing that one of the signatories of the same, Toni Colomer, is a non-attached councilor.
A decision that from Compromís is understood as that the municipal secretary is not carrying out his charge independently and loyally. They do not know the reasons that have led him to act this way, although for them, it is not the first time that he acts with a clear political sense. Commit, think that there is a great collusion between the town and the, something that worries them a lot and that creates insecurity.
