El Javea Town Hall has welcomed the presentation of the XXXII edition of the Miguel Buigues Andrés Basketball Memorial. During the event, the sports councilor, Alberto Tur, highlighted the special appreciation he has with the Xàbia Youth Club, "My stage as an athlete in the base sport was marked there".
Tur noted that it is a central event for the club "that serves to remember the figure of Miguel Buigues so that he is present and that the values are transmitted among the young people who enter or continue to form in the club".
The mayor invited all the residents of Xàbia to the event that will take place this Saturday, December 21, at the Palau d'esports Miguel Buigues Andrés and next to the club, to enjoy a way of understanding the sport especially basketball.
For his part, the coordinator of the youth club school, Oscar Butler, Said that "The first thing is to remember the figure of Miguel and that all the youth of the club know what this day means". Butler added, in the sporting aspect, that three games will be played: the first the junior men's team will be measured at Adesavi de Alicante at 16 pm.
After the female senior will play against CB Teulada, later, the photo of all the players, 110 boys and girls of the school and 150 players of the club will be taken.
And before the last game there will be a snack for the young basketball players and the final clash will be played by the senior men against CB Teulada. The winning team will be awarded the present edition of the Memorial.
The organizers expect them to spend a joyful afternoon and the greenish family will be united for this important and emotional day for her.
