On April 26th, House of Culture Xàbia will host a play for theater lovers: 'L'última de Txékhov', performed by Garum Teatre, under the direction of Imma Sancho. Through this show, Pepa and Lluís offer us a moving look at their personal and artistic lives, marked by the closure of the theater where they began their careers and where they have experienced many of their best moments.
Pepa, always optimistic and full of energy, is determined to move forward and continue in the acting world, doing whatever it takes to keep going. On the other hand, Lluís, more nostalgic and trapped in the past, is overcome with longing for those times and places that will never return.
Through his memories, the audience will enjoy three entertaining short plays by Anton Chekhov: "The Bear," "Proposal," and "On the Evil Caused by Tobacco." The show culminates with an adaptation of his short story "The Chameleon," presented in an original way, incorporating theatrical and rhythmic elements.
There will be two performances: one at 18:00 p.m. and the other at 20:00 p.m.
