The council of Servicios Sociales of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, in charge of Isa Garrido, has received 15.694 euros from the Alicante Provincial Council to subsidize the SAD (Home Help Service) primary care program that provides autonomy to people who cannot carry out tasks alone everyday.
Currently, in Benitatxell some 20 people are benefiting from this program, as explained by the Councilor for Social Services, Isa Garrido.
The SAD program is a service oriented to people and families who have problems in carrying out the elementary activities of daily life. From Social Services they are provided direct care at home
through interventions that favor their permanence in the socio-family environment. They are also treated in situations of personal and family crisis and collaborate with families when they cannot attend
needs of the elderly.
