OPINION | PSOE of Xàbia
Charging residents and giving away hundreds of thousands of euros to large developers, that is what the tripartite government is doing with the increase in the garbage tax and the reduction in the connection fee. Amjasa, a measure that only benefits new construction and that the rest of the Xabieros and Xabieras have already paid for.

For the socialists, the increase in the garbage tax by more than 7% (and 6% for businesses) also has an aggravating factor: "residents are going to be charged for a service that is not being provided in its entirety. That is to say, from the almost 5 million euros that the waste collection contract represents, items such as organic containers, which are not there, green points that are missing, cleaning of containers that are not carried out, etc. should be subtracted."
In this regard, they explained that, "if a serious audit of the level of service provision were carried out, we would see that the increase is unfair and can only be explained by the haste of a government that lives in permanent improvisation. In fact, if necessary, the garbage tax could even be lowered, as other municipalities have done."
On the other hand, the 60% bonus on the connection to the Amjasa water network is, for the socialists, an unjustified gift to the developers, "to the big builders who have had a red carpet in urban planning since the tripartite government has been in power."
In contrast to this partial average, the proposal of the Socialist Municipal Group is to give a 75% discount on the down payment for those meters that were once registered (houses that were closed and are now reopening) or for new businesses that stimulate the local economy and create stable jobs in the municipality.
A useless descent
Likewise, the reduction of the IBI by just 2% "is an empty gesture, which serves no purpose other than to disguise the poor management of this situation. As the tripartite was embarrassed to arrive at the plenary session with an increase in the garbage tax - and even more so without providing the full service that we, the people of Xabi, pay for - they invent a ridiculous reduction without any real impact."
It is worth remembering that for an average home, the 2% reduction in the IBI represents a mere 0 euros per month, less than the cost of a cup of coffee.
In response to this, the socialist government during the last legislative period reduced the IBI by 17%, meaning that each house saved an average of 80 euros per year.
I have had a second home in Javea for 30 years and it has never been as dirty as it was two years ago. The Arenal is abandoned, the Paris Park is abandoned, dirty and full of bugs (we can't go there with our grandchildren), the sewers are not fumigated and there are more and more cockroaches. We do encourage tourism, which is increasingly crowding the beach and coves. We have had a tax on rubbish for years, when very few communities had it, we don't blame the Government.
Here all the politicians complain about the work of others and they don't see the backs of the rubbish they have been doing before, what has Chulvi done for 12 years that still has so many people in Javea blind? Open your eyes already because neither Chulvi did what he had to do, nor is Sanchez doing it, who leaves Valencia lying in all the mud that there is there, nor has Abalos done it, nor has Begoña done it, nor have all the politicians of the so beloved left done things well.
Javea is disgusting
They put some bins in front of us that we have to leave our backs in when we throw out the rubbish and on top of that they raise the bills and lower the price for new buildings. They have to be shameless.
The bins were put there by Chulvi's bad government, which was the one that made the garbage contract, which, as you say, thanks to Chulvi we left our backs, but he has a nerve. The increase in garbage, as you well know, has been imposed by Sánchez's government at the request of the European Union. The garbage rate, as you well know, is going to be raised in all the municipalities of Spain because of Sánchez and the EU's balls. I anxiously hope that Chulvi, with his enormous influence, convinces Pedrito and the European leaders not to raise the garbage rate, because indeed, you have to be shameless to raise it like Chulvi's friends have done.
Well, that's it, Chulvi, talking about "makeup" operations. Yes, you were a great expert in that.
And Mata, speaking of improvements in service contracts... at the latest, green sleeves... Another one who was an expert.
How much did Chulvi raise the IBI at the same time that he stole the refund of the cadastral tax that was legally due to us? That's it.
