A study on noise in Xàbia is launched

January 15 from 2020 - 13: 33

During the next seven months, the consultancy Center for the study and control of noise SL (CECOR) will carry out a detailed analysis of the noise that exists in the municipality of Xabiero to know the sound sources that cause noise pollution and prepare the future ordinance for the control of excesses (drafting of the Municipal Acoustic Plan).

The company has been hired by the Javea Town Hall after the bidding process since it was the best economic offer presented and proposed as an improvement to prepare an ordinance proposal adapted to the determinations of the plan presented. The award has been at 28.834 euros.

In these months of work measurements will be made, they will analyze the noise levels and identify the sound sources that produce them as well as the noise generated by the traffic, establishing levels in each street, and preparing a diagnosis of the general situation and measures for each of the areas.

The acoustic map will distinguish between rustic and urban areas, communication routes, industrial and recreational areas, as well as residential and commercial areas. Also the spaces specially protected by these destined to sanitary and educational uses, as well as those that have environmental values that need to be more preserved.

It would be good to control the noise level of blowers and other two-time motor tools that require noise protection helmets for the user but do not propose anything for the neighbors. In the Montgo area we are surrounded by the noise of these machines every morning six days a week, without rest. These machines output 115 decibels at the exhaust outlet, we are 5 decibels away from the plane taking off!!!

    MUp good idea!
We have to look / listen in the Montgo natural park: the shooting, the disco and the 'party house' next to the disco. They are a shame.

  3. Isabel Bilbao says:

Speaking of supermarkets, in summer, they should check not only the sound of their refrigeration engines, but especially what noise protection system they have (walls that throw noise up or dampen it effectively) .
These engines work at all hours, of course, and at full throttle. The neighbors are subjected to a low frequency and CONTINUOUS thudding noise that drives us crazy. In winter it is not heard because we live indoors and with the windows closed, but in summer it does not allow us to eat on the terrace or sleep with the windows open… and worse if the wind blows towards us! A nightmare of at least three months for which we live all year.

I think it's very good, it was time! In addition to measuring all the streets around Jávea, in particular and as an example, I put in detail the Haya street, since the More and More center was opened it suffers a significant amount of circulation. It is not the same now in winter than in summer, it is a street that does not respect the speed, in many cases exceeding 80 km / hour, both cars and motorcycles, it can be solved by putting some badges, reducing the speed to 30 Km / hour, and reducing the street to just one lane, thus preventing individuals from overtaking others who do respect speed,
