A truck is trapped in the Cala de la Barraca when the ground sinks

01 2021 April - 14: 31

Getting to the door of some establishments to unload the merchandise seems not possible. In the Barraca cove the same event is being repeated in recent weeks; getting trapped the trucks that distribute drinks to the bars and restaurants of this beach in Xàbia.

The delivery men try to access the truck as much as possible to the place of unloading but the weight of the vehicle with its load makes it difficult to exit later as it is a pebble stone beach.

On this occasion, the access of a drink truck to the end of the well-known Cala de Barraca or Portitxol, has created an impressive image. The ground has given way and the vehicle has fallen, being practically sunk.

This event has occurred in the last hours. As it has been possible to verify, the truck has been rescued and the sink produced covered with earth allowing the access of clients to the restaurant.

    hello Julie
I guess we are thinking the same:
… That an image is worth a thousand words… That is: No comment.
Then they spend all day talking about protecting the environment ...

A guy from Madrid who used to be in love with Jávea.

        Live to see.
It turns out that the bay to the lee of the island was an anchorage for boats from pre-Phoenician periods. Because of the courses and the way of navigating (always a long way, they could not close), they were Greek.
It is seen immediately in the type of anchors found.
Well, at barely a mile (forty meters more or less), a delivery truck is allowed to enter ...
Really, I think the time has come for all of us (residents, vacationers ...
all of us who love Jávea)
        Union make force.
The politicians we have work to divide ("divide and conquer")
Dear Xavier @ s: either we mobilize or we mobilize.
        Signed:
A man from Madrid who is still in love with Jávea.
        Dear Julie:
It's time for action. We (all of us) need to join forces and fight for saving jávea.
        Cheers
