The 'Viu l'Estiu 2021' campaign opens for educational leisure activities in hostels and camps

The Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ), has convened the program of concerted offer of educational leisure activities in camps and shelters of the Valencian Community for groups of young people, with which the campaign opens 'Viu l'Estiu 2021'.

This year a total of 2.168 places are offered, of which 1.600 correspond to camps and 568 places to youth hostels, and the period of stay is from June 27 to September 5.

The IVAJ facilities participating in the new campaign are the Navalón youth camp, with 800 places, and the Jaume I camp in Alcossebre, with 464 places in tents and 336 places in cabins.

For its part, the hostels that are included in the 'Viu l'Estiu 2021' offer are the La Marina youth hostel, in Moraira-Teulada, with 168 beds; the Mar i Vent hostel, in Piles, with 200 places, and the Biar hostel, with 200 places.

The bases of the call have been published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV).

Submissions

Youth associations, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate school groups, training cycles, universities, town halls, sports clubs and other public or private entities may request the use of the facilities, as well as groups of young people in the Region that organize activities of educational leisure.

The number of places requested may not be less than 15 people between the ages of 7 and 30 at the beginning of the stay, except for monitors. In the case of groups with people with functional diversity, the age limit may be increased to 35 years.

The maximum length of stay is 15 nights continuously in the same facility. The stays will be for periods of one week, from Sunday to Sunday, and may not exceed two consecutive weeks.

Shifts will start the morning of the first indicated day and end the morning of the last. The first food service, if applicable, will be the meal on the day of incorporation, and the last, the breakfast on the day of departure. They can be requested up to two weeks in a row.

During the execution of the Concerted Offer Program, the health circumstances of each moment that could affect to a lesser or greater extent the offer of places will be taken care of, since the capacity may undergo the modifications dictated by the competent authority in the management of the COVID-19.

Services offered

The hostels offer accommodation in individual rooms with sheets, collective dining room utensils, full board food service and lifeguard service in La Marina and Biar, as well as civil liability and accident insurance.

In the camps, the services offered are accommodation in tents or cabins where mattresses and various camping equipment are included, collective dining room utensils, full board food service, as well as civil liability and accident insurance.

Each activity is developed in conjunction with a youth animation plan that must be presented one month before the activity. Likewise, at the end of the stay, a record will be drawn up, which will be delivered to the management of the facility with the services provided to the participants.

Applications will be formalized in a standardized form of the concerted offer program and will be presented in the electronic registry of the IVAJ starting this Friday, March 12.
