Health offers data on the incidence of coronavirus by municipality

May 28 from 2020 - 19: 16

The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health offers, starting this Thursday, the data on the incidence of coronavirus in the Valencian Community by municipalities, as announced during the pandemic; data that was not offered so far for privacy to those affected.

The data will be published on the website of the Ministry and will offer information on the total accumulated positive cases diagnosed through PCR and their incidence rate. In addition, the number of positive cases in the last 14 days and the incidence rate in each population in this period will be included, thus showing the current incidence of the pandemic. This section will also show the number of deaths from coronavirus in each locality and the rate depending on the number of inhabitants. Thus, it is intended to offer both a diachronic analysis, with the data accumulated since the start of the pandemic, and a synchronous one, that is, with the visualization of the incidence of the coronavirus at present in each municipality.

The data will be offered periodically, although they will require a delay of between 24 and 48 hours to be loaded on the website with greater reliability.

At the moment, the Marina Alta has registered a total of 257 infections and 19 deaths. In Xàbia, the total number of infections has been 20 people and there have been two deaths.

As indicated by the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, among the data derived from the publication by municipalities, it can be seen that only 11 municipalities in the entire Valencian Community have reported five or more cases of coronavirus in the last 14 days, which which represents only 2%. On the other hand, 454 municipalities (84% of the total), have not registered cases in the last 14 days.

As for the data that the consellera provides daily on the evolution in the last 24 hours:

  • New registrations: 247
  • Total discharges since the start of the pandemic: 11.649
  • New positives: 24 through PCR
  • Total infections since the start of the pandemic: 11.160
  • Deaths: 7
