02 June 2020 - 18: 52

The Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, has appeared today to highlight that three consecutive days without deaths have been completed throughout the Valencian Community. Barceló has made a balance of the evolution of the coronavirus during the month of May.

The Consellera has stated that the figures are positive since there has been a 78% increase in the number of discharges, having given in the last 24 hours 83 new discharges, thus bringing the total to 12.315 discharges since the pandemic began.

The total of discharges to patients with coronavirus in the Community reaches the figure of 5.346 people. In addition, the number of patients in hospital has decreased by 82,3% -555 patients admitted less than in early May-, and the number of people in intensive care units has decreased by 84,6%, with 132 patients less than when the month began.

In new cases, 10 positives have been detected through PCR since yesterday, with 11.238 total PCR. In hospitalized people, the number continues to drop, with currently 167 people admitted throughout the Community, of which 23 are in the ICU.

Go to Phase 3

Ana Barceló has indicated that from the Consell it has not been requested, "nor will it be requested this week" the Ministry go to Phase 3 of the De-escalation Plan. As explained by the consellera, the reason is none other than "We have only been in Phase 2 for two days and it is early to determine the change".

The person in charge of Health in the Generalitat has determined that it is necessary to see at least during the 14 days determined how the pandemic evolves.

Regarding mobility, the Generalitat Valenciana is still waiting for a response from the Ministry to the request to be able to move to the second residences located in other provinces within the same autonomy.
