Any traditional or popular festival may be celebrated in the Valencian Community from September 1. This is the main conclusion that the Minister of Universal Health and Public Health, Ana Barceló, has communicated to representatives of the Fallas collective of Valencia during the meeting held this Monday at the headquarters of the Ministry. On September 1, Barceló explained, "is the starting point for any type of popular or traditional celebration, although the exact date has to be decided by each group."
The Ministry has kept September as the closest date "because it guarantees a significant margin of time and more possibilities to control the pandemic with the increase in vaccination in the next two months." The next few months, Ana Barceló has assured, "will serve to increase vaccination and arrive much more protected".
Regarding the type of acts that will be authorized as long as the measures that are in force at that time are complied with, the basic limitation that Ana Barceló has set has been "to avoid crowds of all kinds, both of the staff inside the party, and of the people who attend the events "; although in acts considered essential (the case of the flower offering in Valencia), the councilor has been in favor of studying its possible celebration.
In this case, now it is each municipality and its parties, which have to decide when to celebrate and whether to do it or not, and with what limitations.
