Rosa Cardona, together with the regional deputy, mayors and spokesmen of the Popular Party of the Marina Alta, have met with CEDMA, the Business Circle of the Marina Alta. At the meeting it was proposed and vindicated for the concern they share about the current economic situation, both of the economic crisis caused by the health crisis of COVID 19, and of the previous deficiencies to reactivate a regional economy and the lack of momentum it suffers. the business sector.
At the meeting it was stated that the region remains the same as it was years ago: lack of investments, lack of territorial connection, access to the highway, the train, communication isolation, being attractive to investors, problems of organization and planning territorial of the region, the importance of working in a network and together or the problems due to the lack of agility and excess administrative bureaucracy; issues that paralyze the economy of the region and on which there is no action.
Rosa Cardona claimed at the telematic meeting that "we should not let more time pass, it is time to mend the existing errors and to resurface economically with the own resources that this region has so wasted".
The spokesperson for the Popular Party of Xàbia points out that the qualities of the region assure us that tourism will be our economic prop, but that it needs special care from the administration to be attractive, and this is not an excuse to leave out those sectors that they have always been in the region and have been depreciated, it is time to take advantage of the restoration of the region to promote our local products, it is time to think about the transformation of our agricultural and fishery products, to create cooperatives of our products, of its transformation and sale.
Cardona states that it is time for the General Plans to stop being the brake on our growth. Having an approved General Plan is a utopia, so the municipalities must broaden their sights and allow the creation of an industrial or business estate, whether municipal or regional, to be feasible; that the classification of protected agricultural undeveloped land has been the excuse for not building, for not having a tertiary land, but at no time has such a classification been made to promote agriculture, or what sense is there in the municipality of Jávea on land The construction of implement sheds is not allowed, with these measures it is evident that there is no intention to promote agriculture.
Rosa Cardona indicates that in order to get out of this crisis, we must also value the role of tourist rental housing, the entire service sector depends on them. And with the addition that the rental of tourist homes is a guarantee to promote safer tourism.
CEDMA calls for clarification of the speeding up of urban planning licenses, for responsible declarations to be allowed, in order to activate the entire service sector as soon as possible. It also makes it known that you have to take out employment from any activity and for this you are asked to trust public, civil works, to take back European funds. Construction can reactivate the economy, but regional industrialization must not be neglected, since industry responds differently and is a sector that remains in constant balance.
