Rosa Cardona (PP): «At the end of the pool we will pay all xabieros»

August 26 from 2019 - 14: 19

The councilor and spokesperson of the Popular Party of Xàbia, Rosa Cardona, said on Monday morning, at a press conference, that "The municipal pool will not be financed at 100% by the Generalitat as announced by the government team."

The popular mayor wanted to explain that, after the last urban planning commission, she learned that of the five million in which the Xàbia municipal swimming pool project is budgeted, only three will be contributed by the Consell and the other two will have to be financed by Town hall. And it is that, as Cardona has indicated, "The project has gone through three phases, the initial one, of 6 million euros, which would host comxicotetions at the regional level, then one of 3 million euros and finally, the one presented, for five million, in which the pool could host comxicotetions at the provincial level. "

The popular has asked Mayor Xàbia, José Chulvi, which continues to require the Generalitat to include the full amount of the pool project in the budgets, "He said that the PP had breached the agreement and in 15 years the promised pool had not been launched and now it turns out that the totality will not be contributed, but that the xabieros and xabieras will have to pay the remaining two million."

Likewise, Rosa Cardona has indicated that from the PP they agree with the project and with the construction of the pool, "But not with financing, so we will abstain in the vote".

It should be remembered that the municipal pool is a project that dates back to the year 2005. A pending execution that remained in the air when the commitment agreed by the Generalitat at that time was not fulfilled. Agreement that assumed that the City Council built the Valencian Pilot Trinquet in exchange for the Consell taking over the construction of the pool.

This project was on the air and now, 14 years later has been restarted to make it a reality.

Many pool, as we have money from the taxes of ALL, not only the town and port, great. While in the Arenal sidewalks, roundabouts, streets without light, streets that look like circuits, denigrated. But to make the pool at double the cost, with the excuse of being able to do comxicotetions. Benitatxel does not have enough people to keep it, no matter, posts that are taxes to keep megalomanian works of a couple of gentlemen. That is management.
Mr. Chulvi y cía, better manage the taxes of ALL ripens and meet the needs of ALL the city

  2. Felipe says:

The same is the case, here you are. There are a lot of people (retirees, people with disabilities, young people, etc.) in Jávea who need to practice swimming and who can't travel to Benitachell, and of course, they don't have money to get a pool. Talk about making a pool as if it were easy and cheap to build.

  3. Felipe says:

The same sounds strange, but I think that if you make a pool in Javea that all Javienses pay for it is your thing. Although pay who pays (generalitat or city council) we will pay the taxpayers equally, so I do not see so much problem.

    • Miquel Strogoff says:

Mr. Felipe, why do I have to pay another pool if I already have a private one in my house?
Whoever wants it to pay it is not so gentlemen, also the sea is close….
