This June celebrates the centenary of the last visit of Joaquín Sorolla to Xàbia and to celebrate it Da Giulia Restaurant and the art historian, David Gutiérrez have organized a unique event next Monday June 10.
The day will begin with a guided tour through the historic center of the municipality in which Gutiérrez will show and explain the places that Sorolla liked to reflect in his realistic paintings about the lifestyle of that time.
The event will continue in Restaurante Da Giulia, which has prepared an exquisite tasting menu 'Bocados de Mar' in tribute to the love that the painter felt for the Xàbia beaches. The menu will consist of five passes based on the local product and the modern vision of the restaurant's Italian cuisine.

And as the final icing on a unique day, slides of some of Sorolla's most famous paintings that will be explained by David Gutierrez will be exhibited. In addition, some of the memories that the painter left on his last trip to Xàbia will also be read.
