At 11: 18 Red Cross Xàbia has received notice through 112 that two men, aged 32 and 37, were trapped in the water in the vicinity of Punta Plana.
They have mobilized a jet ski rescue team that has located them in a breaker next to an inflatable kayak. They could not advance because of the current that took them to the rocks and because, according to reports, one of them had gotten seasick.
The Red Cross has towed them to the Barraca beach care point where one of them has received first aid for minor injuries.
From the Red Cross they want to take the opportunity to report that the rescue site (which is now being advertised on networks and from some active tourism companies such as Cala Paradís) is a location already known to them for its high risk, being at a point of walls verticals starting from Cap Negre to practically Ambolo. On days of storm surge and even light wind, visiting them can pose a high risk. That is why they do not recommend your visit.
