Police reinforcement to prevent illegal parties on New Year's Eve

The Local Police of Xàbia will reinforce this Thursday, December 31, its service to control compliance with prevention measures against COVID-19 on public roads and in catering and leisure establishments, as well as prevent illegal parties in private homes and local.

The special New Year's Eve device will be activated in the morning and will be progressively reinforced according to the needs of the service.

Mayor, José Chulvi, and the Councilor for Citizen Security, Pepa Gisbert, have met with the Chief Intendant of the Local Police, José Antonio Monfort, to know the forecast of controls and surveillance on the end of the year and in anticipation that the celebrations may be brought forward at noon due to the curfew.

Municipal officials have appealed to common sense and asked citizens to make one last effort and reduce social gatherings at these parties and to comply with all social distance measures.
