January 28 from 2020 - 07: 02

Exciting was the third stage of the Navy Cycling Volta played in Xàbia. The test was won by the cyclist, Red Walters, by imposing a tight sprint on Abner Gonzalez. The winner of the stage used a time of 1: 33.01 to cover 69,9 km, so the average was 45 km / hour.

In the first part of the race, completely flat, the 168 cyclists who took the exit, flew. They took a dizzying pace to the race avoiding the jumps of the platoon. The work done by the gregarious leader and his team caused few to seek adventure alone.

As was presumed, the platoon split up on the ascent to Alto del Montgó, on the way to the finish line. There a group with Walters, González, the leader, Aitor Escobar, Sergio Torres, Vicente Pla, Jari Snyers and Mario García took a few meters away. Who could not enter that group was Moll Saor, second overall, who traveled in a group a little further back.

On the home straight, Red Walters launched an attack to which only Abner González responded, but could not beat him in the sprint. It was a beautiful stage organized by the Club Ciclista Jávea who, once again, demonstrated his precision and good work when it came to completing a great stage on this Volta Ciclista a la Marina.

In the classification of the stage Red Walters was winner, with the same time, in second place was Abner González and the third was Aitor Escobar who entered 4 seconds. The absolute classification is commanded by Aitor Escobar with 27 seconds of advantage over Saoro Moll, third place goes to Sergio Jorro at 49 seconds.

The mountain jersey is for Aitor Escobar with 22 points and the flying goal is for David Serrano with 9 points. By categories, the best are: in females, Cristina Barrajón, in Master 30, Moisés Espinós, in Master 40, David Fajardo, Master 50, José Ramón López, Master 60, Josep Antoni Martínez, in Sub 23, Llorenç Beneyto and in Elite, Aitor Escobar.
