"The XàbiaJazz 2021 has shown the desire to consume culture and that with responsibility, it is possible." These have been the words expressed by the Xàbia Councilor for Culture, Quico Moragues, in the balance on the XàbiaJazz 2021.
The great reception achieved by the two concerts programmed for this year's festival, being the first large-format event organized by the Town hall, with 1.500 capacity places, since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The acceptance of the concerts, Juan Perro and his band and the SedaJazz with Sole Giménez, and the completion of the capacity in a few days, has shown the desire for culture that the public has.
The councilor wanted to highlight the good atmosphere experienced in the two nights of the festival and affects the level of involvement of the two bands, who have made an effort to give a great show and connect with the public gathered in the Plaza de la Constitución, as well like the behavior of the assistants, respecting the sanitary measures.
On the other hand, the mayor wanted to thank the collaboration of Civil Protection, the Red Cross and all municipal personnel who have been part of the device to control access and compliance with sanitary measures in an event in which there has been no incident and that has been a cultural incentive for Xàbia and to enjoy the hotels in the Historic Center.
At the institutional level, the Xàbia Jazz has also enjoyed great support with the assistance of the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, the councilors, Vicent Soler and Gabriela Bravo, and that of the Minister, José Luis Escrivá, as well as the president of the Museum Sorolla, Enrique Varela, from the cultural field.
