This Christmas, although with some restrictions, the various municipalities of the Marina Alta have prepared their activities to celebrate these dates. For this reason, in Xàbia they have organized various plans to do over the next few days.
As it could not be otherwise, the public to which most of these activities are directed are the boys and girls of the municipality. As a way of giving them as much space as possible on the municipal agenda, the Town hall, the various merchant associations of Xàbia, sports clubs and festive entities have programmed workshops and activities in Xàbia Històrica, Xàbia Port and in Arenal. To make the municipality the safest possible environment for all citizens, outdoor activities have been prioritizede.
Author's Craft Market
Today, December 26, or, commonly, on the second day of Christmas, there will be a Author's Craft Market on the seafront of Xàbia Port. It will be open for most of the day, from 11:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m., a good plan to end the first weekend of the Christmas holidays in the municipality.
In addition, the royal mailboxes to deposit the letters to the Magi of the East will now be available both in Xàbia Històrica and in Xàbia Port and Xàbia Arenal.
Nadal Jove Esportiu and children's workshops
This traditional celebration moves its most frequented activities to the Constitution Plaza, to carry them out in the open air from 09:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m.. Nadal Jove Esportiu will be on December 27, 28 and 29 and, of course, it will be full of activities and workshops for children and young people.
What's more, from 11:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m.Several children's workshops will also be held on the same days as Nadal Jove Esportiu. In this way, they will be carried out in the Xàbia Port toy library, in the marquee on the promenade, and in the Xàbia Arenal tent, located in the marquee on the promenade David Ferrer, next to the Christmas tree.
Rowing activity and Christmas sweets
The Yacht Club will hold a rowing activity on December 30 from 09:00 a.m.. To attend it will be necessary register in the dedicated space that the Club will have at Nadal Jove Esportiu, on December 28 and 29 in the Constitution Square.
The workshops continue on the 30th. The boys and girls are in their second week of Christmas holidays and Xàbia turns to it. For this reason, from 10:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. there will be creative workshops in the recreational space of Xàbia Històrica in Mestre Ángel Palencia street number 6.
On the other hand, both Xàbia Port and Xàbia Arenal will open again the children's workshops located in their respective enabled tents in each area.
Finally, on the same day, the little ones at home will be able to make their own Christmas sweets in the Sweet Christmas workshop. This will be held in the afternoon, from 18:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m., in the Playjove recreational space from the Plaza de la Constitución.
Midday Chimes
True to their customs, Xàbia will celebrate on December 31 at 12:00 the noon chimes in the Plaza de la Iglesia. With the intention of advancing the celebration and meeting with the residents of the municipality in the open air, the capacity to access the square will be controlled.
