The patron of Xàbia is Sant Sebastià and the festivities in honor of this saint begin on the same day of the celebration of the anniversary, January 20 and last, in this 2020, until Sunday, January 26.
The Commisió de Festes de Sant Sebastià together with the Xàbia Bullfighting Cultural Association has prepared a complete program of events that includes bullfighting, religious and recreational events.
Monday, January 20: Sant Sebastià Day
08:30 hours. Wake up the streets of the Historic Center.
11:00 hours. Pasacalle de los Mayorales and Mayoralesas 2020 and the Comissió de Festes to visit the different niches of Sant Sebastià located in the street dedicated to the patron.
20:00 hours. Solemn Eucharist in honor of Sant Sebastià in the parish of San Bartolomé.
Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23
Assembly of the bullfighting and cadafales in the Church Square.
Friday January 24
18:00 hours. Release of four heifers and three bulls from La Hermandad livestock.
23:00 hours. Release of heifers and a bull from La Paloma livestock. The bullfighting session will feature the release of the cow Bird among other animals
January 25 Saturday
10:30 hours. Children's storytelling in the House of Culture.
11:30 hours. Release of heifers and bull from the Benavent livestock.
18:00 hours. Release of four heifers and three bulls from La Paloma livestock sponsored by the Imperial Bar.
23:00 hours. Release of heifers and bull from Crespo livestock. This session will feature the participation of the cow Cascabel. Then, discomóvil in the same enclosure until 4:00 hours.
January 26 Sunday
10:00 hours. Tour of La Marina - XIII Trofeu Sant Sebastià, Patró de Xàbia.
10:30 hours. Children's party with trolleys, muddled cart, giant bull, candies and surprises by D'Art Mediterrani.
11:30 hours. Release of heifers and bull by Crespo.
18:00 hours. Release four heifers and three bulls from the Benavent livestock.
