Hospital Clínica Benidorm launches, one more year, its already traditional campaign “HCB Take Care of Your Bones” to promote the prevention of osteoporosis. Thus, from Monday, November 25 and until January 3 of 2020, the departments of Internal Medicine and Nuclear Medicine will perform a specific test for the measurement of the level of calcium in the bones and a reading of results with the specialist.
It is an exclusive package consisting of a bone densitometry test and medical consultation, at a closed price of 40 euros, which will allow to know the density of calcium that the bones have and to detect osteoporosis early, and then evaluate the response to treatment in people who suffer from it.

The specialist will be in charge of explaining the results and possible treatments or of healthy exercises and habits for the prevention of osteoporosis (a disease of bone metabolism that is characterized by decreased bone mass and deterioration of bone architecture , which lead to bone fragility with a consequent increase in the risk of fractures. It is the most common type of bone disease as well as being easily preventable.)
HCB recommends that women older than 50 be tested periodically.
