Within the events scheduled by Equality this November, the presentation of the book is contemplated Asunción Cruañes seeks peace and equality which will be the 30 Friday in November at the 20 hours at the Casa de la Cultura.
Asunción Cruañes, seeks pau i la igualtat (Edicions 69) is written by Pepa Guardiola, who knew her personally, and has illustrations by Pau Cruanyes. It is a project promoted by the Department of Equality, which directs Montse Villaverde, to make known a collective silenced by history: The 'mothers' of the Constitution of 1978.
Asunción Cruañes, born in Xàbia in 1925, was one of the 27 women deputies who were part of the Constituent Cortes, as well as being a great activist for feminism and women's rights.
This biographical account, which recovers the personality, experiences and achievements of Cruañes, is aimed at readers of all ages, it is even adapted to serve as teaching material in the educational centers of Xàbia.
