Arnau Castell Alemany, is a young man from Xàbia, author of 'At partial temps', novel that will be presented next Friday, January 14, at 20:00 p.m. in the House of Culture Xàbia.
'At partial temps' It is Arnau's first novel, with an autobiographical aspect, which connects directly with the reality experienced by many Valencians who set out in Catalonia to gain access to public teaching.
Arnau is a Physical Education teacher and Primary school teacher and for about two years he has been teaching in Catalonia, like thousands of Valencians. In his first literary work, this young man tells the story that Valencian teachers currently live when looking for a job.
The novel is based on the story of Andreu, a young Valencian who finally receives the opportunity to work as a teacher at an institute in Cadaqués and who, to overcome his financial difficulties, accepts some somewhat shady assignments, but with succulent rewards. What at first seemed idyllic is turning into a spiral that drags it into the abyss.
At partial temps it combines a fictional reality with the events of quite recent times. The novel can be purchased at the Colón de Xàbia bookstore.
