From the Popular Party of Xàbia we want to clarify the issue of financing the municipal indoor pool to all xabieros and xabieras.
Of course, the Popular of Xàbia totally agree to have the best municipal indoor pool possible and also to have it as soon as possible, but we always work to WIN THE NEIGHBORS AND NEIGHBORS of Xàbia and without this agreement they lose. That is why we have not voted in favor, because as long as it is not the best for Xàbia we will not support it.
15 years of socialist policy recriminating the breach of the agreement of the Generalitat, which was signed in 2005 between the Generalitat and Javea Town Hall, and in which the Generalitat was committed to the TOTAL payment of the pool works and that had a cost of € 6.132.136.
15 years that the Xàbia PSOE has been saying in press releases, vignettes and in electoral programs that the Generalitat has a historical debt to Xàbia for not paying for the integral construction of the municipal swimming pool. 15 years saying that the agreement has not been fulfilled, which has been José Chulvi who sent the agreement to the Ministry in the year 2016 to begin the negotiations and claim compliance.
And now in the 2019 that the Generalitat has consigned only € 1.500.000 and has promised that they will be € 3.000.000. Why now our mayor does not claim the total payment of the pool as he has done in these 15 years?
Why do we remove the xabieros and xabieras 2 millions of euros that we could invest in countless needs for our municipality?
Our disappointment is that it has brought to the full a project of the pool (urgently, without being on the agenda and without notifying the members of the opposition) and that nothing is known about its financing, which initially we have 1.500.000 € On the part of the Generalitat, that we have been promised 3.000.000 € and that the missing 2 millions will be paid by the xabieros and xabieras.
We insist, the Popular want the best for Xàbia and we will always work because he wins, and without this agreement he loses.
Therefore, the popular we ask and demand that the commitment made by the Generalitat be fulfilled in the same way that Chulvi has demanded so far, and all of Xàbia.
Now it is not worth the Popular that for 15 years this agreement has been valid for all purposes and that now in the 2019 that governs the PSOE it is no longer valid and that it is now a mere declaration of intent.
If this agreement is not valid today, then neither should it have been 15 years ago, what a pity of wasted time, how sad that the PSOE has used an agreement that did not exist to make rubbish policy and that little defense of
interests of the residents of Xàbia.
