Last weekend, a good representation of the Xàbia's Bike-Fasterwear cycling training was held in Chelva. Group that shone again in the dispute of the ninth edition of this race that brought together the best bikers of the international and national scene as it was an Olympic year in the cross country modality.
The Chelva Bike Racing Club organized two days of authentic MTB with a four-kilometer course full of double paths, jumps, cant, trunks and a loose and playful terrain, considered the best national track of this specialty.
On Saturday afternoon, Dani Cepa Jr, Juanjo Femenia, Dani Cepa and Àlex Seguí took the exit. Dani Jr again demonstrated his magnificent progression and climbed to the third drawer of the podium in the cadet category. In Master 30, Juanjo went from less to more getting a fifth place. In Master 40, Dani did not have the best feelings and was sixth while Àlex remained constant with the passing of the laps and finished seventh.
Sunday was the time for the UCI categories, where Alicia Margalejo and the Moll brothers, Ade and Saoro, were present along with leading runners worldwide.
At ten in the morning all the categories of women took the start. Alicia found a good rhythm and finished in fourteenth position achieving her first UCI points of the year. The last race was for the Elite / Sub23, where both Ade and Moll Saor They were consistent and strong finishing in twenty-fifth and thirty-seventh place.
Double in Beniarbeig's career
On Sunday morning our masters doubled and participated in Beniarbeig, scoring for the Circuit BTT Comarques Centrals, with a total distance of thirty-two kilometers and almost one thousand meters of unevenness.
Dani Cepa was second in Master 45 and fifth of the general, while Juanjo Femenia finished second Master 30 and tenth in goal. Finally, Àlex Seguí went up to the third drawer in Master 40 entering the sixth of the general. This weekend the team will be present in the last test of the Volta a la Marina in Ondara and in Benigànim belonging to the Circuit BTT Comarques Centrals.
