The spokesman of the Assembly of the Círculo Podemos Xàbia, José Vicente Catalá, has filed a formal complaint, by registration, addressed to the Diputación de Alicante, to act, "urgently" in the CV-740, road linking Xàbia-Benitatxell for the lack of a practicable shoulder and considering that there are black spots on the road.
From Podemos, based on reports from the Civil Guard, they denounce that the section of the road between Km.8 and Km.9, "There is no shoulder on either side on a stretch greater than 200 meters." Section that according to highlight, "2012 accidents have been recorded since 11 until today, four of them with fatalities."
We can affirm that in September of last year, in 2017, the Diputación de Alicante made an insignificant arrangement, and denounced that it was a "insufficient intervention, since only the shoulder of the section was filled next to a tree and the bollards were replaced".

Danger in access to housing estates
Also, the instance presented by Podemos also highlights the danger of frontal accidents and off-road cars existing on the entire road by the entry and exit of vehicles in urbanizations such as Lluca, Rafalet, La Mandarina, etc. This situation has generated, in six years (since 2012), a total of 33 accidents, 11 of them with fatal victims, "Therefore we request the revision of the entrances and exits of the urbanizations to improve, as far as possible, the visibility as a measure of prevention of accidents".
"From the Assembly of Podemos Xàbia we urge the Diputación de Alicante to act immediately in this way, since it is a serious risk for the circulation and in particular, for cyclists", marked the statement of the spokesman of the purple formation.
