Podemos Xàbia denounces that the extension of the garbage contract goes against the municipal declaration of Free Zone of Tax Havens

21 December 2018 - 13: 08

In view of the extension of the contract for the waste collection and cleaning service Javea Town Hall with Cespa, the Circle of Podemos Xàbia criticizes and denounces that the extension of the contract goes against the decision of the City Council to declare itself a Free Zone of Tax Havens.

At Full March 30 of 2017 a motion was approved declaring Xàbia Zona Paraiso Fiscal Free. A decision that basically means not making public contracts with companies that take part of their money to tax havens to evade taxes in Spain.

As stated by Podemos Xàbia through a statement, "Ferrovial, whose subsidiary CESPA has just renewed the contract the consistory xabiero, uses this framework to avoid paying taxes here in Spain."

The purple formation poses different questions to the City Council about this fact: What does this mean? What does the consistory care about the social cost of tax evasion? The councilor of services said that other alternatives would be too expensive. Where are these calculations? Has the lack of reflux of money been taken into account because of lower tax revenue?

What degree of neglect demonstrates this decision against a vote (unanimous!) Of all the parties represented in the City Council? Or the decisions of this City Council and the mantra of sustainability are just a toast to the sun to look good with the gallery?
