The architects of the University of Sofia (Bulgaria) Gavril Gavrilov, An Hodzheva, Georgi Pavlov and Dobri Dinev have seen inspiration in the Poble Nou of Benitatxell to design a pioneering project in bioclimatic architecture and landscape integration.
It is a Nature Interpretation Center where schoolchildren will be made aware of the preservation of the environment and traditional agriculture, as well as a place to develop new concepts of sustainability.
The aim that the promoters want is for children to learn to respect nature through games and to change their vision of the environment that surrounds them. The center will have a labyrinth of vineyards, an auditorium that will be at the same time a greenhouse and a forest of grapes. They have also projected an aquarium buried under a garden where the students will be able to discover the processes of life, germination and the perfect cycle of nature.
Likewise, the purpose is to teach biology and the natural sciences in the center.
The model and the explanatory panels of this future center are exposed in the Municipal Mercat. The architects have presented the project to the mayor, Josep Femenia, and the Councilor for Development and Agriculture, Manolo

Installation study
The promoter, Jaroslav Guerov, already has the 8.000 square meters where the interpretation center would be developed that would be located on a site of the departure of l'Abiar.
The architects have carried out an exhaustive study of the climate, precipitation, humidity, orography and of the traditional solutions that the farmers have applied in the Poble Nou de Benitatxell. From these data have designed the interpretation center, which is integrated in the environment being the construction of wood and a single height.
They have also planned formulas for the interpretation center to self-supply with water. They will collect it in underground deposits of a torrent that exists in the land and of a tower of condensation that will take advantage of the humidity.
The mayor and the councilman of Development have been satisfied with the projects and have indicated that it is positive that investors arrive at the municipality with proposals that diversify the economy and also the educational contribution that wants to transmit.
