Agents of the Local Police of Xàbia have concentrated, this afternoon, in front of the doors of the Town hall with a big puff. The agents have been demonstrating, for about 30 minutes, before the Consistory demanding that the mayor act quickly in the process of their salary improvements.
With messages like: 'Ja està bé of so many lies', 'First-class police, third-class salaries' and 'Less will and more truth'; The police agents have wanted to show their discomfort with the government team for not carrying out the promises for several years.
Today, the agents have started the protest at the checkpoint and have walked through some streets of the historic center until they reached the City Hall, making their complaint visible: an improvement in working and economic conditions that include holidays and night shifts.
Thus, the police staff, as already reported, "tired" of waiting for salary improvements will continue without doing extraordinary services.
After the whistle, and taking advantage of the beginning of the ordinary plenary session, the policemen have accessed the plenary hall to express their discomfort in front of the mayor and municipal corporation and show the posters with the messages of their protests.
The police group calls on the government team to draw up a new Job List (RPT) that regulates and dignifies the work performed. The Local Police Corps is willing to jointly negotiate the improvement.
