02 October 2018 - 11: 06

The triathlete xabiera, Cristina Roselló, managed to finish the hard test of Iroman 70.3, in the fifth place of the age category 25-29, with a time of 4.57: 29, celebrated in the Portuguese municipality of Cascais.

Cristina came short of preparation for this appointment due to the accident she suffered with her bicycle when she was training. A hard fall that caused a knee injury. The preparation for this test went bad, without being able to run, and swimming with pull, what I could do best was the bike. So his coach, César Pereira, did the planning according to what he could train.

So, the xabiera began a week before the test to run but still with discomfort, a maximum of 45 minutes was the longest he could do.

In Portuguese lands good feelings

On Sunday morning, at the 7: 35 hours, they started giving outings, the famous Rolling start, that Cristina did not like anything, since she received the blows swimming of many men and there was collapse in the turns of buoy. "It was something tremendous"Roselló said, in addition to not having any position reference in its category, the xabiera made a good swimming segment despite the conditions that occurred.

A T1 of 600 meters in which he had to stop to put on some sports so as not to aggravate the injury. He started the cycling segment with a lot of enthusiasm since it was what he had been able to train the most and he enjoyed it a lot.

A quick T2 and began the big question of being able to finish the 21 km of running race. "At first, the feelings were good", according to Cristina, but it was at a very controlled pace, with a head, since he had practically not trained anything to do so many kilometers.

During the first lap she felt comfortable despite the climbs, the second lap from kilometer 15 even, improved the pace. The worst came in the absence of 3 km, when the quadriceps climbed very hard and noticed the lack of training in running. Despite this, he finished very happy this test so hard.

Your next challenge the European Middle Distance Championship

Now, the athlete, intends to make a good recovery and finish the season by going to the European Middle Distance Championship that will take place in Ibiza.

Cristina Roselló thanks her future husband, her unconditional support at every moment. To her coach, for that great job she does and the confidence she has in her. Finally, he also wanted to thank the sponsors for their support: Matties Bags, Aguilarent.com, Boronat Bicicletes, Pepe La Sal, REMA and Publicdisenny.
