The Department of Culture of Xàbia closes the year with a very special performance. On Sunday, December 11, a poetic music recital has been scheduled by the well-known comic actor Pepe Viyuela, who will share the stage with the baritone Luis Santana and the pianist JM Cuenca.
It will be in the St. Bartholomew's Church, at 20:30 p.m. with free admission. Viyuela will premiere a new show titled rivers of poetry that intersperses music and poetry always with humor as its central axis. The program will review the funniest poems from the years of romanticism to contemporary times, combining the actor's comic vision and the baritone's voice.
Pepe Viyuela is an actor and comedian, as well as a graduate in Philosophy and Fine Arts. His career as an actor has been developed mainly in the theater, working in numerous productions of the National Dramatic Center and the National Classic Theater Company. He is well known for his roles in television series –especially Aida- and in movies like Earth, by Julio Medem, The miracle of P. Tinto y The great adventure of Mortadelo and Filemónby Javier Fesser.
It has a highly developed solidarity facet. For years he chaired the NGO "Clowns Without Borders" and has also published six collections of poems.
