Animal lovers are always looking for a place where their pets can play, run and have fun in the fresh air. Xàbia has more than a dozen playgrounds and recreational areas. In five of these spaces there are areas enabled as pipi-can so that coexistence between people and pets is more civic and generates fewer problems; but in these parks, the animals cannot be loose.
In this way, the town of Xabiera, since the first dog park opened in 2015, already has a total of four spaces destined, entirely, for dogs.

Montaner Park canine area
This space was the second created in Xàbia and was inaugurated in 2019. Canine area in Duanes de la Mar
As in other public spaces, this area is equipped so that dogs can socialize and play without a leash in good health and safety conditions. It also has fencing, double gate, litter bins, water and benches.

This area for dogs, created in 2022, is located at the back of the Les Mesquides public car park in the seaside neighborhood of Duanes de la Mar.
Canine area in the Arenal
This area for dogs was inaugurated at the beginning of 2022 and is located inside the greenway of Amsterdam Street bordering Brussels Street. Basic rules of use in canine areas
The canine areas are open 24 hours for users to enjoy responsibly and abiding by some basic rules of good use:
- Obligation (legal and moral) to collect the excrement of your pet.
- Use the leash to leave and enter the place and take the dogs conveniently identified and vaccinated.
- It is forbidden to mistreat animals and take them to this coexistence space when they are sick, in heat or have aggressiveness problems.
- Small children are not allowed to enter to avoid accidents with larger dogs
Private dog parks
In Xàbia there is a dog park with a large space for the leisure of dogs but it is privately managed. Called 'La Jungla' (Pet Service), in this place there are different elements to train, educate and train the dogs.
Location
On the Cami del Frechinal, in the vicinity of the Pont del Llavador del Río Gorgos.
Pipi-can
Another of the areas set up in public spaces for the first needs of animals are the Pipi-Cans areas. In Xàbia there are five distributed throughout the urban centers and they reinforce that there is a better coexistence between people and pets, avoiding the presence of excrement on public roads.
I would like to comment on the disastrous state of Paris Street Park, in Arenal, dirty, full of leaves and dry branches all over the ground, it smells more and it is sad not to be able to enjoy this park. You could put a children's area, we have small children and not all of us have a private garden. It only serves for the dogs to do their things and it would not have any problem, if it were because there are owners who do not collect their animals' feces, becoming a source of infection.
