Pablo Ivars finished second in the MTB Marathon for the deaf in Spain

The cyclist Pablo Ivars, belonging to Cala Bandida Cycling Team, participated this weekend in the BTT marathon for the deaf of Spain, where he got second place, the same position with respect to last year. The first classified was the Murcian Antonio Marín of the CC Angliru Bike, while the third position was for the Asturian Luis Rodriguez Valdes Club BTT CBSA.

The test that was held in Asturias, running through the council of Candamo and consisted of a total route of 60 kilometers with 2.000 meters of positive slope where the xabienc had the odd mishap, which could solve in time, due to mechanical problems due to excess earthen.

Pablo closes again one more season getting podium. For this reason, he was very satisfied and commented that, "Despite having had a very short but intense season, for personal reasons, this result is very positive, giving a moral boost for the next objectives". Ivars, added that "During this season there has been little respite regarding the sports planning that, together with my coach Adrián Peris, we had, since there is the World Cycling Championships for the deaf in Turkey, but everything depends on the participation of Spain and the cyclists selected. This championship has been mainly the reason why I have not had a break, preparing myself in case I had the opportunity to participate and compete against the best in the world ".

Finally, Pablo thanked his coach for his involvement and also for the Javea Town Hall, particularly Vicente Colomer who, being Councilor for Sports during the previous term, granted him a sports scholarship for the results obtained during the 2017.
