28 new PCR positives in the Marina Alta. This is the total data that the Valencian Community Health and Public Health Department has provided, just a few minutes ago, through the update of the coronavirus situation by municipalities. A worrying fact since it is twice the number of infections since the last update (three days ago).
The new 28 infections represent a considerable increase in the accumulated figure, since the Department of Health of Dénia registers, today, a total of 1430 positives since the pandemic began. Even so, the Marina Alta is one of the regions with the best data in the Region. Although the incidence per 100.000 inhabitants has increased with the increase in infections, it currently stands at 36,10.
This increase, on this day, comes to verify that the October bridge (15 days ago) was one of the points of most social contact and that it has produced a spread of the virus.
With respect to Xàbia, the municipality has registered three new infections, in the last 3 days, which adds up to a total of 165 positives, of which 10 in the last 14 days.
The good news is that one more day, there is no need to regret any death from COVID-19, so the Dénia Health Department maintains the figure of 29 deaths.
