This year, the Mig Any of the festivities in honor of the Virgin of Loreto in Xàbia has incorporated a notable novelty: the celebration of a Traveling Photography Exhibition that will visit nine businesses in Duanes de la Mar, showcasing the images submitted to the Mare de Déu de Loreto Photography Contest, held during the 2024 festivities.
The exhibition aims to highlight the winning photographs by Francisco Alvado, Sonia Soria, and Ana Català, as well as provide a space for all participating images, reflecting the diversity of styles that combine the professional vision of expert photographers with the creativity of amateurs and local residents.
The impetus for this initiative stems from the essential collaboration of Xàbia Port's businesses, who contribute year after year to the success of the festivities. Aware of the importance of this support, the MIG ANY organizers decided to involve these businesses in this celebration, which revitalizes the town center and fills it with life and visitors.
Starting this weekend, residents and tourists will be able to browse through the traditional and some newer shops in Duanes de la Mar, where they will find the images displayed in their windows. The establishments, which offer a wide variety of products and services, offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the quality photographs that have captured the most significant moments of the festivities.
The awards ceremony for the winning photographs will take place next Saturday, March 22, at 13:30 p.m., on Paseo Jaume I. The exhibition will be open to the public until March 31.
The organizers would like to thank all the establishments that participated in this initiative, especially for their willingness from the very beginning, actively contributing to the success of this cultural activity.
